ok so here is my idea:

this is how it works there is screen on the floor( presumably it is projected ) and there are say three lanes on which objects can move lets just say for the purposes of explanation that they are balls, so there is a person on ether side of the rectangle and they can send a ball down one of the three lanes if the ball moves unhindered and reaches the other end you get a point if it is stopped mid way by your opponents ball no score is tallied however the length of time you stand in a lane determines how fast the ball moves if your ball is moving faster than the on coming ball it continues and vice versa... the way i was thinking this could work is with the lanes corresponding to a button of some kind say a mouse or a wii fit board... if this doesn't make sense please ask!

We need to update

I know we are bad at this but we need to get cracking on this thing. Jack you need to post up your idea because we need to show out working progess and we have only 2 weeks to do it in.

And someone tell josh to accept the invite.

We also need to organise what we are doing with this project.

Also For out last game we received 4 red stickers. It wasn't popular and we didn't get much time to present our idea, so our goal is to make this one exciting!! =D

guys this is getting a little ridiculous we need to get cracking on this.... as you are probably aware jullianne has left our group and so we need to be doing a lot more work to get this done i would like to see if we could do the game we talked about on thursday ether your idea lauren or my idea

lauren's idea: is as follows that we create a game that emulates pong but where the user is physically in control of the paddle such as with a wii fit so that there body movements control the placing of the paddle i think this is a great idea but i also think it would be good if we could expand upon it to make it a little more fun and or intriguing

my idea: very hard to describe with out a diagram will get onto that n a little while....

lets have fun with this!

VIDEOS WILL LOOK GOOD

hey yall

well the videos look alright if a little out of focus despite our apprehension i think i can string together a nice little clip that illustrates our idea well what do you think sound or no sound? and should i add little text elements that highlight what is happening on screen?

by the way lauren is right we really need to be updating this blog regularly so it would be great if we could all get crackalacken on that

cheers jack

Wii remote.

Hey everyone, since it looks like we are probably going to stick with Luke's idea, i've been playing around with my Wii equipment at home and i got the wii remote to work with my computer, this look like we can use the Wii balance board for our game, it's great because we don't have buy a board or something (and it saves money!)

Since i have a Mac i download the program OSCulator and it gives you a 30 day trail (which is good since we only need a week for this). I don't know what the Windows version is called but i guess you can find it by doing a search on google. It's really easy to use. I'm thinking of playing around with flash and figuring out how we can make this work.

Any ideas to go with our game?

Let's get this shit up!

We haven't updated in ages, so I feel we should now. What I want to discuss that I am freaking out about the assignments that are freakin' due next week! So, during our lecture today I was drawing up ideas in my head. I was trying to use the time to think of ideas that weren't difficult. Right now, I don't really care on how bad or how lame it is as long as its original and not time consuming as long as I pass the class. C'mon guys, think of something.

And Josh and Luke, PLEASE CONTACT LAUREN THROUGH FB FOR THE INVITES TO THE BLOG.
